Can you tell us more about the series?

I’m so excited about this series! It’s about an island town and the matchmaker who’s daily blog posts are bringing more tourists to their picturesque home. There’s an award-winning barbeque restaurant on the island, and a luxury resort, a huge gift shop that plays Motown music and a town historian who sells her famous cinnamon rolls wherever she goes.

Her Unexpected Match is Book #1 in this series is a slow burn full of cute romantic times between Allie and Ryan who never expected to fall in love. Allie’s not excited about being on the island because the trip came with the threat of losing her job. If she doesn’t write the correct type of story she’ll be out of work, but how can she write a positive story when because of childhood trauma she’s used to thinking negative? Ryan’s the exact opposite of Allie, an optimist who’s hoping his hard work is about to pay off with the expansion of his family’s barbeque restaurant. The two of them, along with Ryan’s dog Optimus began to build an unbreakable bond and eventually the Crescent Matchmaker has another win in her column.

I was inspired to write this story by my visiting some of my favorite places in my home state of Maryland. I love the small town feel of the coastal towns on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and always enjoy creating fictional characters and places based off that area.

At the moment, there are two more books planned for this series—two mor opportunities for unsuspecting couples to be united via the Crescent Matchmaker. Or, who knows, maybe the matchmaker will finally find their match? 😊
