Honestly, I choose this book because I had no clue as what a “space opera” was… Something cool, apparently!

In my bio I wrote that I love romance but needed something different, and here’s why.
Anyone who’s read Draga Court could tell you that it’s different from most standard romance. It’s long and fantasy-esque but set with a space backdrop much like Star Wars or Dune.
I was reading through romance books and just didn’t feel this connection with the books that I was looking for. I’ve found it a few times, but it’s few and far between. A Court of Thorns and Roses, The Black Jewels Trilogy, and Kushiel’s Dart were what inspired me to write this. I wanted Game of Thrones but with a happy ending and not as many people dying. But space is so much more fun, so that’s where I set it so I could play with the blending of advanced tech and fantasy.
It’s been so incredibly fun to write and to show strong women in different rolls with different strengths. It’s also been a challenge to keep track of everything and make sure Adelina has been growing in the right direction. After just finishing the fourth book and gearing up to write the fifth I have to say I’m quite proud of her and this story. I can’t wait to see how it ends.
