There are new edits as well, so give this book some new love!

This is a celebratory post so there will be a bit of everything.

He’s impulsive, fearless, and fun loving. Erik Axelsson, Ax, had it all: talent, fame, money. He’d lived the rock & roll life fully and with gusto until it wasn’t fun anymore. Without a second thought, he’d traded the spotlight with the Floridian sun, and the guitar with a surfboard. Rich, and free from anything – what more he could need? She’s innocent, scared, and in trouble.

Andrea Smith escaped the life imposed to her when her parents joined a cult. After years on the run, hunger pushed her to accept a stranger’s offer for breakfast. She had no clue her life changed with that simple ‘yes’. But the past catches up with her, forcing Andrea to choose what person she wants to be: the scared cult member that obeyed in silence, or the new woman Erik made blossom.

Behind the story.

She Came With The Tide is a romantic suspense novella, and it was part of a great anthology of Rock Stars that revolved around the hero of Call Me Cowboy by D’ann Lindun.
Working with so many talented authors was amazing, and I learned things I’m still using today. When the anthology was broken apart and She Came With the Tide was all by itself, the Crescent Creek series was born.
To this day, Ax is one of my favorite characters. He’s absolutely fun to be with, and of course his easy-going ‘tude it’s what got him, and Andrea, in trouble.
And Andrea… she was a surprise.
Here are those that, in my mind, were Erik and Andrea: Brock O’Hurn and Natalie Portman.

For the last time, I’ll post from this story to celebrate the new cover, and I’ll do it by posting the very beginning, the prolog.

Here is David Andrea’s husband, swearing to find her and bring her, and himself, to justice.

I hope you don’t like him just as much as I did/do.

He will find her. His wife. His Andrea.

David closed his eyes.

A fallen angel with long brown hair and sweet eyes. An angel that had dragged him along as she tumbled down, left him with nothing else to do but search for her and give the ultimate offering to the gods.

When he’d taken her as his wife, she’d become part of him. Her sins would be his. If he’d known the risks of bonding himself with an outsider, he’d loved her nonetheless. Still did, despite the betrayal.

It hurt, the thought of ending her life, more than knowing he will soon meet his own death because of her.

He will be saved, part of something higher, purer than the heaven his father had created on this hopeless earth. As for her… No, her crime was too heinous for any hope of salvation. It was fair. Sad, and fair.

The offer of her tarnished soul added with his, though, will forgive his acquired wrongs. He was sure of that.

He dropped to his knees, bent his head, and prayed.

And here are happier snippets from the rest of the story.
