His deep voice is full of sex when he says, “You realise when I said I was hungry, I didn’t mean for food, right?”

“I’m aware.”

He grins. “Good.” Still holding my hand, he pulls me in closer and cocks his brow. “So are you gonna invite me inside?”

My breath hitches. “Excuse me? You have some nerve—”

“I want you,” he says. “And some part of you wants me. Invite me inside, Trey.”

I scowl. “Don’t tell me what to do.”

“Why not? Somebody should.”

I sputter. “What?”

He shrugs and lets my hand go. “You can be an arrogant little shit, and I’m just—”

“What?” This guy is unbelievable! “I’m an arrogant shit?”

“That’s what I just said.” His words and his solemn nod are the last straw.

I punch him in the face.

Well, I try to. He ducks away just in time, smirks, and it fuels my rage. I shove him in the chest in a quick burst of energy, but I’m lucky if he moves an inch. “You’re the arrogant shit!” I yell. “Ever since I first saw you, you’ve been a complete arsehole! And don’t fucking tell me you want me right before you insult me, that’s not how it works! The second part completely supersedes the first, so fuck you very much and goodnight.”

I make it two steps before I’m pulled into his arms. I struggle for a moment until his lips meet mine. Fuck, this man is mercurial. I don’t understand him or anything that comes out of his mouth, but I can’t deny the physical chemistry we have. His touch brings out a hunger in me I’ve never experienced before.

His lips move down over my chin to my neck. He growls, “Invite me inside, Trey.”

Healing Him ~ Bromley Brothers Book 2

Henry Bromley wants to find not only the perfect submissive, but he’s also searching for love. When he meets Ryan Scott, a man who seems to take control, Henry is conflicted.

However, when passion and lust ignite a spark and their flame is lit, Henry discovers there’s no turning back. He wants Ryan.

Ryan Scott has fought hard to protect himself and his desires. With his wounds freshly opened, Ryan has to make a choice: submit to Henry and allow himself to heal or continue to live the lie he’s created for himself.

Will this Dom help his sub fly? And if trust is broken, can it truly ever be healed?

“An intense, sexy, and heartfelt gay BDSM romance.”
“The perfect amount of hotness!”
“A baring of souls… beautiful.”

About the Author

Canadian born Laura N. Andrews moved to Australia when she was three years old. When she finished high school, she successfully completed her studies in law enforcement. Since then, she’s been working for over eight years as a pharmacy assistant. When she’s not working or spending time with family and friends, you can find her either curled up with a book or writing one of her own.

Hi Laura, and thank you for being here today.

Can you, for those who don’t know you already, tell something about yourself?

My name is Laura N. Andrews and after completing my studies in law enforcement, I’ve now been working fulltime as a pharmacy assistant for over nine years. Writing has always been a passion of mine and, in early 2016, I submitted my first book to Hot Tree Publishing. Since then, I’ve had several works published; four novels, two novellas, and most recently a short story in an anthology. Although I’m generally an introvert, there are certain topics which are a sure-fire way to get me talking: anything book-related, Game of Thrones, Marvel, and Harry Potter.

Aside from my first published novel, my books are gay romance, or MM romance. In my downtime, if I’m not spending time with family and friends, I’m either watching a movie, curled up with a book, or writing one of my own. Next up is Bromley Brothers #3!

How did you become an author?

I’ve always been an avid reader and a few years ago I was writing my own book. I was reading a particularly great series and when I found out the author lives in my home city of Perth, I reached out to her. I expressed my love for her books and explained how I was an aspiring writer. Not really expecting a response, I asked whether she had any suggestions for how to make my dream come true. She recommended her editor, which led me to my current publisher, Hot Tree Publishing.

What is something unique/quirky about you?

I hope this is considered unique rather than worrying…but I do a lot of self-talk! You know the phrase, “I was talking to (so-and-so) about this and decided to…”? Well, in my case I usually tell me best friend, “Well you know, I was talking to myself about it and decided to…” When I’m in the car or at home, I tend to talk things through with yours truly – especially when I’m brainstorming a book idea! I do sometimes wonder what my neighbours think… ha ha.

Tell us something interesting about you!

Before turning twelve I lived in three different countries and four cities/states.

Where were you born/grew up at?

Born in Montreal, Canada, I lived there until we moved to Philadelphia. We then moved back to Australia, where my parents met, when I was three years old. We lived in Melbourne, Victoria until I reached eleven and we moved to Perth.

What do you do to unwind and relax?

Up until recently: have a hot shower before sitting down in front of the TV – Will and Grace of course – with a nice Italian meal and a glass of red. To be honest, I’ll probably still do that, but I’ve recently experienced the benefits of relaxing, stress-relief, yoga.

Describe yourself in 5 words or less!

Empathetic, generous, introverted, kind, and optimistic.

Which of your novels can you imagine made into a movie?

For every book I always imagine them as a movie, however, Forever You stands out. It’s a gay romance novella set in Brooklyn. Full disclosure: I’ve dipped my finger into the pie that is screenwriting and am writing the book as a movie script!

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in The Bromley Brothers series?

The Bromley brothers live in Perth and are made up of Trey, Henry, and Travis from youngest to oldest. Each brother has their own love story, starting with Trey’s book, Trusting Him. Trusting Him is a gay romance between an out and proud event coordinator and a sexually curious security guard. Healing Him follows Henry’s story and is a BDSM gay romance between a Dom looking for love and a sub hiding his true nature. Travis’s story is next, and, in his case, there are more than two people in the relationship!

If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the lead?

If we’re talking Forever You, I’d say Troye Sivan and Colton Haynes. I can easily imagine them as Matthew, the cute receptionist, and Benjamin, the hunky mechanic.

If you could spend time with a character from your book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day?

Travis Bromley. He’s a confident, yet humble, funny, and attractive man who owns a gym. We’d start off which a gruelling gym session followed by a movie marathon and ending the day with a family cook-out in the backyard. Although he features in the first two Bromley Brothers books, he’s yet to have his own story released.

Have you written any other books that are not published?

Yes, I have one book I’ve submitted to a publisher, and another I’m planning to rewrite before submitting it as well. I’ve recently considered the possibility of self-publishing in order to release my character’s stories into the world.

Is there any writer whose brain you would love to pick for advice? Who would that be and why?

Nalini Singh. She’s my favourite writer and someone I’d be ecstatic to meet. I’d love to pick her brain on how she develops her characters and creates such unique fantasy worlds. Another would be JR Ward for the same reason.

Who are your top 10 favorite authors?

Nalini Singh, JR Ward, Sloane Kennedy, Riley Hart, Cara Dee, K.C. Wells, Parker Williams, TJ Klune, Nora Phoenix, and Dahlia Donovan.

How long have you been writing?

I’d say I’ve been writing for around six years, but this August I’ll have been a published author for four years.

Do you see writing as a career?

For me, not at this stage. I’d love to be in a position where writing is my fulltime job however, for now, it’s a hobby.

What can we expect from you in the future?

Right now, I’m working on the third and final book in The Bromley Brothers series where we follow the love story of the eldest brother, Travis. With many projects on the go, and vastly different genres, I’m quite excited for the future!
