This is just lovely, and I find the virtual life angle very interesting.

Taking one hand, he twirled her, and when she returned to his embrace, she found herself plastered to him, their lower bodies swaying rhythmically against each other, mimicking the actions of lovemaking—or at least how she assumed lovemaking would be.
She swallowed, her mouth suddenly dry. Her nerve endings were on fire, and what was worse, she didn’t know if it was his doing or hers. Had she been the one to thrust her body forward? She could well have been, with how many dirty thoughts were rioting through her mind. All of them half-baked fantasies because she had nothing to base them on besides the romance novels she no longer read.
Their dance was the complete opposite of her earlier one with Sterling. Mark smashed her personal space to smithereens and spun her in circles, her skirt swishing around her knees. Where Sterling’s grasp had been light, the heat from Mark’s palm singed her as it rested on the small of her back. His other hand traced a path from her shoulder up to cup her cheek. Body heat emanated from his chest and enveloped her. His breath stirred her ear, and then his cheek grazed hers. She gasped, and his fingers dug into the softness of her hips.
“You smell amazing,” he murmured, rubbing his cheek on hers lazily, like a big cat scenting her. “What is that?”
Oh God, was this actually happening? She was high on his presence. She wanted more, needed more. She felt warm inside, deliciously intoxicated by his pheromones. She could stay this way forever. And maybe he was high on her too. What else would explain the way he was sniffing her like she was a scented candle.
“Ylang ylang,” she whispered, suddenly shy.
His breath hitched, then he groaned, almost inaudibly. “I love it.”
Unfamiliar heat pooled between her thighs, and she pressed them together, seeking relief. “Um-hmm.” Eloquent, Rissa. “I use it in my bath. It helps with stress.”
He sighed. “That’s a detail I could have done without.”
She stiffened, even as her mind remained languid. “What do you mean by that?”
He squeezed his eyes shut, his eyelashes casting shadows over his cheeks, and he swallowed. “Just that I’m trying to be a good guy, and now I’m picturing you in the bath. It doesn’t help.”
