What is the most infuriating thing about writing a book?

I wouldn’t say any part of writing is infuriating as much as challenging. Every book has its obstacles, but often for me it’s the research. Some authors love this part, but I think it feels like homework. When I wrote Vow of Silence, I knew nothing about the Amish community. I spent countless hours delving into their culture. For The Nanny Rules, I’m embarrassed to admit that I knew nothing about football. For someone who doesn’t watch sports, it’s ironic that the majority of books I’ve written are sports romance. I thought a tight-end was a compliment for a hot football player, lol. 😊 Okay, maybe it wasn’t that bad, but I had a lot to learn about the NFL. Thank you to all my football friends and family who patiently answered my questions and explained the game to me.
Now for my favorite part of writing…the heat. The most enjoyable part of writing any book is building combustible chemistry between my characters. If I don’t make your heart pound and your palms sweat, I haven’t done my job. I want my readers to experience everything my characters think and feel, and to know them intimately. Brazen was the perfect platform for me to do this in The Nanny Rules.
