Prelude to a Hero ~ Chronicles of a Hero Book 1
Nerd. Introvert. He was the hero they never knew they wanted.

What he got was the mantle of a legendary hero, the heart of a girl who had no idea who he really was…and a diamond bigger than his fist.
What could possibly go wrong?

Race to Til-Thorin ~Chronicles of a Hero Book 2
Dream girls. Fried snails. A 30” bodyguard with pink ponytails.
Being a hero comes with learning curves.
The curve of a hip. The curve of a sword. The curve of a sucker punch as it connects with your face.
It wouldn’t be so bad if Wendell had professionals to help him.
Instead, he’s stuck with a feisty gnome, a senile old wizard and a green skinned, cigar-smoking babysitter to guide him.
Is it too late to quit?
Fans of epic fantasy will cheer Wendell on as the Chronicles of a Hero series continues in book two. Those who enjoy the world building skills of J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling and Brandon Sanderson will surely get addicted to this original new world.

Oh wait—we forgot to add the army of cannibals now nipping at his heels.
It just might be the death of him.

The Truth About Lies ~ Chronicles of a Hero Book 6
Caught. Tortured. Scheduled for execution. Any Questions?.
Wendell and Dax are exposed and the gnomes of Clockwork City are freaking out.
Are they spies? Is this an invasion? Was this all just a terror tactic to get gnomes to pay their taxes?
Now with Wendell under arrest and Dax under armed guard, it’s going to take a pardon from President Shrub to set them free.
Good thing Chuck’s planning to kidnap his kids.
The Truth About Lies is book six in the Chronicles of a Hero series by Jaime Buckley. The series that makes you laugh, squirm, grit your teeth and has you begging for more.

“I loved this book because it takes a misfit who was never really liked or appreciated and it shows the beginning of the process of him unlocking his potential and becoming something greater than anyone would have imagined for such a small, insignificant person.”
The Price of Fame ~ Chronicles of a Hero Book 7
Honest Politicians. Humane Terrorists. Religious Devils.
Then it gets confusing…
Wendell’s learned that gnomes are just as irritating and dangerous as humans…they just come in smaller packaging.
Citizens are rebelling, the government’s collapsing, the Church is selling off the poor and Dax’s head on the chopping block.
All Chuck needs to get everyone home is a city wide diversion, a flying S.L.A.G., four lawyers, a hand grenade…and a tiny bit of string.
It feels good when a plan comes together!
The Price of Fame is book seven in the Chronicles of a Hero series by author Jaime Buckley. If you love a good laugh and incredible plot twists to keep you guessing, this book will curl your toes and put a smirk on your face!
“…packed with wild imaginations and inspirations. It’s a rarity that a YA book contains the combination of those three things but Wanted: Hero has them. Seriously, you don’t want to miss reading this book in your lifetime.”

Chatting with the Author
Jaime Buckley married young, winning the heart of a beautiful Samoan princess and together, they had 12 amazing children.
One of the original ‘lost boys’ of Peter Pan, Jaime never truly grew up. Though he is respected as a traditional father figure, he still enjoys late night conversations with Santa Clause, flirting with the Tooth Fairy and has an occasional beer with Bigfoot. Wizards and warriors seek his counsel while monsters tremble at the mention of his name.
An accomplished writer and illustrator of all things fictional, Jaime has a passion to entertain and uplift. He loves God, his country, his family and continues to expand his influence and friendships by stepping onto the Twitch platform as a Creative streamer. Jaime can always be found through Wanted Hero, his greatest project, and passion.
Hi Jamie, and thank you for being here with us.
Here’s what Jamie tells us about how to find time to write as a parent.
One of the most common questions I get is ‘How do you find time to write, being a parent?’ It’s not that odd of a question, until you learn that I have 12 kids.
Yes, I said TWELVE….and those are children, not goats.
Suddenly the question takes on a whole new level of meaning. I mean, how do you do ANYthing when you have 12 children, right?
So for me, it comes down to priorities and passion.
You see, for me, writing isn’t the most important aspect of my life. Being a father is.
First and foremost, I take the greatest honor and joy in being a loving father, to be there when I’m needed and to care for those I love. Funny thing is, this not only improves my writing, it’s the fuel to make sure I get my writing done.
What many of my fans don’t realize, is that all these stories started because I wanted to create a world to share with my children. My darling wife and best friend was expecting our first child, our daughter and all I could think of was how much I hated the world.
How society had become so detrimental to the family and sough to captivate and steal a child’s mind and heart away as soon as possible. T.V., music, movies, toys, stupid and pointless traditions that revolve around money and popularity, not things of importance.
I was afraid for my children…so I set out to craft something different. Something to grab their minds and in turn, to win their hearts by telling them the TRUTH. That regardless of whether they were smart or attractive or popular or gifted in one way or another…no matter what they became, they were valuable and important JUST BECAUSE THEY EXISTED.
It’s called Intrinsic Value and it became a focal point of conversion for me as a father and as a writer.
My mission in 1990 was to become one of the most unique and determined writers of all time. Win or lose, I wanted to spend the rest of my life converting readers to the belief that they mattered. That they could make a difference in the world, even if the world told them it was impossible.
Because the world lies.
Thus the motivation for becoming a writer was to be the kind of father that my dad was to me. To tell the truth, to lift them up. To be that anchor in life when everything else seems to fall, crumble or give up. To love my children by helping them build a personal core foundation that would support their minds and hearts no matter what they experienced in life.
In turn, I wanted to raise children that would be so much better than me, that they would go out, challenge and change the world I hated. That through my children and hopefully my readers, I’d leave this world better than I found it.
…and I’m delighted to tell you that it’s already happening. In January of this year two more of my eight daughters got married to a couple of amazing men, which makes five children married and already 10 grand babies!
That, my friend, is my priority, which feeds my passion for writing, yet you could also say it’s my passion for my children that feeds my passion for writing.
So when a story needs to be written, I have to make the time.
In our home, there’s always noise and movement unless people are asleep. So for the first few years I conditioned myself to live without sleep. When the kids went to sleep, I’d kiss my wife goodnight and then work into the night. It didn’t last long, but I was able to write several books that way.
The more I would write, the more I’d discover the best times, places where I could steal time or schedule my alone time. I started buying earplugs, so I could shut everything out and write at a moments notice, which works well even today. But the best way I’ve found overall, is to have regular, scheduled personal time alone in the mornings.
I’m a spiritual person, so I like to get up very early in the morning to breathe, stretch, ponder on the day and pray. Normally I ‘ll get up at 3 to 4am, so the house is quiet and peaceful. I can have my cup of coffee, stretch, think without being interrupted and work with my office door open (trust me, it’s important to open a door when you work under the stairs and have no windows, lol).
I can work several hours before the children get up and the amazing thing about mornings, is that once you get used to being an early riser, you’ll be shocked at how much you accomplish before breakfast. More times than not, I can complete 8 hours with of work in half the time.
The only changing factor to all of this is having a laptop.
For years I ran my entire business from a backpack. not only writing books, but also doing freelance illustrations. Having a simple laptop allows you the freedom of changing your scenery and inspiration.
In the end the point is, you have to make the time to write. It won’t just appear, but the fact that you have to push to make it happen, means you’re far less likely to waste that precious time.
